Temporary Food Service Manager/Prep-cook - Lincolnville Central School

Lincolnville Central School is in need of a long term temporary food service manager/prep-cook to work in the kitchen with the food service director. The position is available from September 6th through January 13th.  Experience in the food service field and familiarity with kitchen equipment and their proper use is preferred but not required. The manager/prep-cook is essentially responsible for prepping, cooking, and serving food to students and staff, as well as washing and sanitizing kitchen equipment. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.  The hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm with additional hours available.

Middle School Math Teacher - Hope Elementary School

Hope Elementary School is seeking a middle school math teacher. The ideal candidate will be experienced, collaborative, energetic, engaging, and knowledgeable about the middle school child.  Candidate must have a strong knowledge of math, particularly Pre-algebra and Algebra I and should possess the following:

  • Experience as 6-8 Math teacher preferred;
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practice;
  • Knowledge of differentiated instruction and assessment;
  • Interested in innovative approaches;
  • Skilled at working with all students;
  • Capacity to utilize technology to enhance practice;
  • Familiarity with proficiency-based education;
  • Interest or experience in interdisciplinary teaching and project-based learning.

School Psychological Examiner – Contracted Position

School Union 69 is seeking a School Psychological Examiner. This position is a contracted position in our three K-8 (Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville) schools. This position is part-time with the possibility of sharing the position with other local districts.

The successful contractor will work as a collaborative team member to conduct evaluations, observations and assessments as needed, as well as consulting and collaborating with the Special Education Director and each school’s educational staff at the K-8 level. Knowledge of mental health and behavioral needs is preferred.

The contractor must be licensed as a School Psychological Examiner and hold an 093 School Psychologist certification.

Substitute Teachers for the Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville Schools

Pay scale for substitute teachers is as follows:

Subs with a four year degree (in anything):  $125/day

$135/day if more than 10 continuous days retroactive to day 1 (although we usually hire a sub with a teaching degree who then gets their per diem as a teacher pay)

Subs without a four year degree:  $100/day

$110 if more than 10 continuous days retroactive to day 1 (see above)
