Special Education Teacher - Hope Elementary School
Hope Elementary is seeking a dynamic and innovative special educator to work with students in grades K-6. The selected candidate will be working in a special designed life-skills program. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Creating and delivering specially designed instruction in multiple content areas,
- Supporting students with behavioral needs,
- Collecting and utilizing behavioral and academic data to inform interventions and instruction,
- Supervising special education technicians,
- Completing special education documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a willingness to seek nontraditional solutions to issues as they arise, an ability to build positive relationships with students, and a willingness to collaborate with parents, special educators, regular educators, service providers, and administrators as appropriate.
Hope Elementary School is a small rural school of 150 students PreK-8.
The successful candidate must have the appropriate background, education, experience and a current Maine Dept. of Education certification and fingerprinting.

Pre-K Teacher/Coordinator – Lincolnville Central School
Lincolnville Central School is seeking a Pre-K Teacher/Coordinator for the 2023-24 school year. The successful candidate will coordinate the new Pre-K program as well as teach the Pre-K class.
Qualifications: 081 Certification is required
Position Description: This will be the first year of a Pre-K program at the Lincolnville Central School. The program will host up to 16 children. The successful candidate will coordinate all the state regulations and requirements for implementation of this program. This will include coordinating with facilities, ordering equipment, supplies, furniture and curriculum. A grant will be supporting the start-up costs.
Start Date: The start date for the Pre-K program will be September 2023. The successful candidate will be required to attend meetings and coordinate the organization of the program up on hire. A stipend will be provided for this prior to the start of school in August for the start- up year only.

School Psychological Examiner – Contracted Position
School Union 69 is seeking a School Psychological Examiner. This position is a contracted position in our three K-8 (Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville) schools. This position is part-time with the possibility of sharing the position with other local districts.
The successful contractor will work as a collaborative team member to conduct evaluations, observations and assessments as needed, as well as consulting and collaborating with the Special Education Director and each school’s educational staff at the K-8 level. Knowledge of mental health and behavioral needs is preferred.
The contractor must be licensed as a School Psychological Examiner and hold an 093 School Psychologist certification.

Substitute Teachers for the Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville Schools
Pay scale for substitute teachers is as follows:
Subs with a four year degree (in anything): $125/day
$135/day if more than 10 continuous days retroactive to day 1 (although we usually hire a sub with a teaching degree who then gets their per diem as a teacher pay)
Subs without a four year degree: $100/day
$110 if more than 10 continuous days retroactive to day 1 (see above)
