Boys and Girls Basketball Coaches - Lincolnville Central School

The Lincolnville Central School is seeking both a Boys and a Girls Basketball Coach. The successful candidate will have prior playing and/or coaching experience and will also demonstrate a coaching philosophy consistent with the philosophy of the Busline League and the Lincolnville School Department. A Maine Department of Education History Record Check (CHRC) is required. This is a stipend position.

Long-Term Music Substitute - Appleton Village School

This long-term sub position can either be one full time position or two part-time positions.

Part-Time General Music Teacher

The Appleton Village School is seeking a music teacher to teach for six weeks starting in January teaching general music classes two days a week for grades PreK-8th grade. The successful candidate should have a background in music and basic singing skills. 

The elementary grade students will be learning pre-selected songs that they will later perform in the spring concert. This position will be completed before the performance and applicants will not be expected to organize the concert.

The middle school students will have project-based assignments and/or group activities that focus on the music learning standards. 

Part -Time 5th-8th grade Instrumental and Vocal Teacher

The Appleton Village School is seeking a teacher for our band, chorus and ukulele classes starting in January for six weeks. The applicant should have an instrumental music background, working with or performing with ensembles. 

Appleton Village School is a small school with small classes, averaging 10-12 students per class. The classes include a 5th grade beginning band class, a middle school advanced band class, individual band lessons taught in small groups, a chorus class, and a ukulele class. 

The students will be learning pre-selected songs that will be later performed in the spring concert. This position will be completed before the performance and the applicant will not be expected to organize the concert.

The Hope Elementary School has an opening for a 2.5 days/week K-8 Spanish teacher for the 2022 – 2023 school year.   Appropriate State of Maine certification is required.  The ideal candidate will be energetic, experienced, collaborative, and knowledgeable about child development and should possess the following:

School Psychological Examiner – Contracted Position

School Union 69 is seeking a School Psychological Examiner. This position is a contracted position in our three K-8 (Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville) schools. This position is part-time with the possibility of sharing the position with other local districts.

The successful contractor will work as a collaborative team member to conduct evaluations, observations and assessments as needed, as well as consulting and collaborating with the Special Education Director and each school’s educational staff at the K-8 level. Knowledge of mental health and behavioral needs is preferred.

The contractor must be licensed as a School Psychological Examiner and hold an 093 School Psychologist certification.

Substitute Teachers for the Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville Schools

Pay scale for substitute teachers is as follows:

Subs with a four year degree (in anything):  $125/day

$135/day if more than 10 continuous days retroactive to day 1 (although we usually hire a sub with a teaching degree who then gets their per diem as a teacher pay)

Subs without a four year degree:  $100/day

$110 if more than 10 continuous days retroactive to day 1 (see above)
